About this course
Wilderness First Aid is first aid adapted for the outdoors - for hikers, climbers, DofE leaders, guides and anyone who spends time more than an hour from a road. Built to meet or exceed the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines.
It teaches the same core skills as a standard first aid course, then adapts them for delayed help: improvised equipment, decision-making about evacuation, and looking after someone overnight if you have to. A current adult CPR and AED certification is required to enrol.
