Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is the American Safety & Health Institute's (ASHI) course for clinicians who assess and manage seriously ill or injured infants and children.
It teaches a systematic approach to the sick child, recognition of respiratory and circulatory failure before arrest, and the paediatric resuscitation algorithms, tested in scenario-based megacodes.
