About this course
First Response Emergency Care Level 3 is the standard entry point into regulated prehospital care. Over five days it takes a responder from first-aid level up to a structured, assessed prehospital syllabus recognised for security, event and workplace responder roles across the UK and internationally.
The course is scenario-driven. You spend most of the week working real presentations - a collapsed casualty, a road traffic collision, a penetrating injury, a medical emergency - with instructors who have delivered this care on ambulances, in the military and on operations. Echelon runs it at its Dubai centre or on your site for a team.
It is the right course if a first-aid-at-work certificate is no longer enough for your role, or you are building towards an EMT or paramedic pathway.
What you will cover
- Scene assessment, safety and the primary survey
- Catastrophic haemorrhage control - pressure, packing, tourniquets
- Airway management with basic adjuncts
- Breathing and circulation assessment and management
- Medical emergencies - cardiac, respiratory, diabetic, seizures, anaphylaxis
- Trauma - head, spinal, chest, abdominal and limb
